You should never try to do it by yourself. You may find the process difficult to handle, or you might end up with hair having uneven overall or even cause damage to your hair.

Hair extensions could be washed and treated in similar fashion to normal hair. With normal wash and wear, these hair extensions tend to wear out. The extensions would be affected by the growth of natural hair. To ensure long life to hair extensions, it would be desirable to use high quality gentle hair care products.

The hair experts could remove these hair extensions, or you could do it at home if you take proper care. It would require twisting the tiny braided attachment and then gently snapping seal and removing from hair.

There are a few advantages of use hair extensions.

1. By using hair extensions, you may sport a new look instantly and these extensions are quite easy to maintain too.
2. It is quite easy to change your look whenever you desire. You always know that style of long hair would not last for long.
3. You will not have to spend much time and energy for growing long hair.

Like any other good things, hair extensions have a few disadvantages too. It is possible that your hair might get damaged by application of hair extender because of burning and splitting the ends of your hair. Using a lot of heavy hair extension would provide additional pressure to your scalp. Such extra pressure on the scalp could cause thinning of your natural hair.

Therefore, before using hair extension you should consider all the pros and cons before taking your decision.
