Some of the simplest and most natural ways of treating early stages of asthma can be found right in your cupboards at home. The best thing is that there is no risk of harm just by giving them a try. Here are a few different natural remedies for the treatment of asthma:

-Mix 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 tsp of honey together and consume right before bed.
-Boil about 10 cloves of garlic in about a 1/2 cup of milk and consume right before bed.
-Wash and soak about 4 figs in about 1 cup of water, eat the figs and drink the water that they soaked in before bed but do this on an empty stomach.
-Mix 1 tsp of honey in hot water and just sip it. If you do this right before going to sleep, it will remove the build up of phlegm in the back of the throat.
-Soak 1 tsp of Fenugreek seeds overnight in 1 cup of water and then strain the seeds out. To the liquid now add 1 tsp of ginger juice and 1 tsp of honey. Do this each morning and each night.

Try yoga! It has been proven that stress can bring on an asthma attack so the breathing exercises that are practiced during yoga will help some to better control their breathing and to also relieve stress.

Biofeedback works well for many asthma sufferers too! It encourages one with asthma to learn how to inhale more air which will reduce the anxiety that occurs with people when they are having an attack.

Some have found acupuncture works well for treating asthma. While many have found it successful, conclusive studies have not been done yet.
