Own the Action-Packed Blockbuster Wanted on DVD

Sexy violence, plenty of blood, and car chases are packed into the new film Wanted on DVD. The film stars Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy and is being offered to fans on a single disc or a two disc special edition DVD just in time for the holidays.

In Wanted, Angelina Jolie plays a sexy hardcore tough girl who recruits Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) to join a secret society of assassins. Wesley suffers from anxiety attacks that cause a huge change in his career path once Fox (Angelina Jolie) finds him at a drug store and takes him on an intense ride through the city to the society of assassins.

In the movie there are plenty of car chases and a suped up action packed subway train ride scene that fans of violence and action are reeling over. James McAvoy has previously starred in films such as The Last King of Scotland and Atonement. Angelina Jolie, of course, has starred as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider films and co starred with Brad Pitt in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

There was a lot of time, money, and effort that was put into the special effects and all of the computer graphics work that makes the film work, and Jolie and McAvoy had to go through intense stunt training for much of the films romps and bullet dodging. Wanted on DVD is based on a comic book series that was created by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones. The movie stays true to the genre of comic book style violence. Although the film is based on comic books and is about superhero type powers, the characters in the film skip the superhero capes and tights and instead don more subltle real clothing.

Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, who also did the Night Watch horror trilogy, has made sure that Wanted on DVD was packed with live action stunt work, slow motion dramatic effects, and plenty of CGI work. Faces get smashed in with fists, trains dramatically fall to their deaths down ravines, cars fly through the air, and shooters bend bullets trajectories all for the pleasure of movie goers who crave the dramatic styled action.

Other stars that can be seen in the movie are Morgan Freeman, playing the role of McAvoys mentor, the German actor Thomas Kretchner, and Terence Stamp as well. The cinematographer for Wanted is Mitchell Amundsen, who did the same work for the hit movie Transformers and award winning composer Danny Elfman has written the intense musical score to round out the violence and action.
